Getting started
I began with a product spec that included two wireframes, provided by the feature’s product manager, Liz. She’s a first-rate PM and extraordinarily collaborative: her wireframes are presented as the first sentence in a longer conversation, rather than a set-in-stone spec that UX cannot question, shape, or evolve.
Product management and UX are too often set at odds, with each side of the equation battling to support their particular vision. But when these two disciplines can work together in a real partnership, the design process is not only more enjoyable but also yields superior results.
